Chrysler announced at the Canadian International Auto Show (CIAS) in Toronto on Thursday that the Ram 1500 pick up truck with be available with a diesel engine starting in the third quarter of the year.
The new 2014 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel will use the same 3.0-liter turbocharged V-6 unit manufactured by Italy’s VM Motori, mated to an eight-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission that is also going to be an option in the new 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee (rumours are circulating that the Jeep Wrangler may also get the same engine).
