Road Test Special: Mini-Test 2021 Ford Bronco Sport + Mustang Mach-E

We’ve had an interesting week… first we got to spend some behind the wheel of the Tesla Model 3 and Model Y,  and then 2 days later we had the opportunity to take the Ford Mustang Mach-E – Ford’s first-ever 100% electric vehicle, and the All-New Bronco Sport Big Bend out for a spin. With COVID continuing to put a stranglehold on my usual manufacturer-supplied test vehicles, I really appreciate Grimsby Ford providing me the opportunity for this all too brief, but very enjoyable test-drive. While we only got a quick spin around the block, these are two very impressive vehicles. Stay tuned for a full-blown road test in the future.)

Tesla Demonstration Drive – The Model 3 and Model Y

For a number of years I’ve been trying to get a Tesla for a test drive, but their media people have been AWOL – even when I had their actual email address, I was ignored. So how did we get this test drive? Patience really. I signed up on their website for a Tesla Test Drive Event – where they actually come to you – or close to you, and let you get behind the wheel of the vehicle of your choice for 30 minutes or so. Since I’m an Auto Journalist, I took the opportunity and asked to drive both the 3 and the Y so I could write an article, and they were happy to oblige!

Road-Test Special: We Go For A Spin In A LaFerrari, On The Autobahn!

On one of our numerous trips to Germany, we had the unique opportunity of getting a ride in the LaFerrari supercar… oddly enough, we’ve never posted the video here on Road-Test – even though it’s been on our YouTube page since 2016!!! With more than 55,660 views, it’s been pretty popular, to say the least! Well, we’ve corrected that oversight and you can now get a look at it right here.

When Do You Think You’ll Be Buying Or Leasing An Electric Vehicle?

It’s not a matter of you MIGHT get one – you WILL be getting one! At some point in the very near-future the EV will be cheaper to purchase/lease than a regular ICE (Internal Combustible Engine) vehicle WITHOUT government incentives. If you want to put off the inevitable as long as possible, it’ll probably be around 2024-2025 – that’s only 6 years from now! Take the time to watch this brief video and you’ll understand that it’s a lot closer than you think before we’re all driving electric.

Each vehicle will have its own road test in a separate article.

Road Test Special: Living With An Electric Vehicle – A Day-To-Day Comparison of Three Models (INTRODUCTION)

Last year a lot had been said in the media about EV’s and how many we’re going to see in the very near future. This year everything regarding EV’s has kicked up another notch with many manufacturers falling over each other trying to be the first with the best offerings to the public. Various governments have also stepped up and are

Road Test Special: Do You Have A Winter Emergency Kit In Your Vehicle?

Imagine this… You’re driving home from a relative or a friend’s house one winter evening. When you left home it was a clear, bright sunny day – but an unexpected snowstorm has quickly moved through the area and you’re trying to get home quickly and safely. The road you’re driving on could be a major highway or a country back road, but either way, it’s deserted and you see very few vehicles.

Road Test Special – Winter Tires Vs. All-Season Tires. Is Your Car Ready For Winter?

Winter Tires Vs. All-seasons Tires – The Facts By Iain Shankland Has winter arrived in your part of the world yet? In my area we usually get our first big snowstorm on or around the 15th of November, but so far this year we’re still having well-above freezing temperatures with no snow in sight!  The inevitable is going to happened sooner or later, but my usual concern when the snow starts to fly is: when do I change from my summer tires to my winter tires?

Road Test Special: Have You Switched Over To Your Winter Tires Yet?

With temperatures already dipping to the freezing point and some areas of the country already experiencing snow – have you switched over to your winter tires yet? Remember – there’s no such thing as a good “all-season” tire – just a no-season tire. All seasons tires become suspect when temperatures dip below 7°C – that’s the point where winter tires start to come good.
