2014 Lincoln MKZ 3.7L AWD – Road Test

Based on the same platform as the Fusion, the Lincoln MKZ is night-and-day different. With Lincoln’s Concierge Service thrown in – what’s not to love? The grill is interesting and according to Lincoln designers it’s supposed to evoke the look of ‘ a bird’s wings’ I suppose they’ve accomplished that. For what I used to consider an “older” guy’s car, I have to report – THIS Lincoln is not your father’s car, and I think if Ford could get more people to drive this one, they’d make some serious in-roads on the mid-size luxury car market. Ford recently announced they were ploughing $5 billion into making Lincoln a true player in the near-luxury and luxury market.

Volvo Cars makes driving at night safer and more comfortable with innovative, permanent high beam

The new Volvo S60 and XC60 – shown to the public for the first time at the Geneva Motor Show – can be fitted with an innovation that makes driving in the dark safer and more comfortable. The renewed Active High Beam Control makes it possible to use high beam continuously thanks to an ingenious mechanism that prevents dazzling of oncoming drivers.

2006 Lexus IS 250 – Road Test

The last Lexus I drove was a GS430 about 6 or 7 years ago. I liked it but didn’t love it. I’d been looking forward to driving the 2006 IS 250 for several weeks and when that day arrived I was like a kid with a new bike! I loved the look of this car from the second I saw it sometime last year. I’ve always been impressed with Toyota and Lexus vehicles, but I’ve never actually looked at any of them with lust – until now. Toyota seem to be on a roll of late, we’ve got the Corolla XRS, the all-new Camry and Lexus ES350 – even the all-new Yaris is a pretty good looking car.
