2022 Nissan Pathfinder Platinum – Road Test

Nissan (and Infiniti) went through a period in the mid-2000’s where a huge chunk of their vehicles were… to say it nicely – ugly. Thankfully they’ve turned the corner and the entire line-up is fantastic looking, gorgeous even. The new for 2022 Pathfinder is not only a looker, but Nissan videos show that it’s also a capable towing and off-roading vehicle. To our eyes the Pathfinder has always been a great-looking SUV – even when the original one came out in 1986. It’s changed considerably since then – as have more peoples’ needs and viewpoint on SUV’s. We spend a week with the 5th generation of this iconic SUV – let’s see how it fairs in 2022…

Jeep Debuts The 2021 Grand Cherokee L

Today Jeep lifted the lid on the All-New 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L, a larger, more luxurious version of the current Cherokee – and an extra row of seats. The large version Grand Cherokee has a wheelbase of 121.7 inches and a total length of 204.9 inches. Inside, the Grand Cherokee L is considerably different from the standard Grand Cherokee, with an all-new dashboard that comes with an 8.4-inch touchscreen – an optional 10.1-inch touchscreen. Jeep’s latest UConnect 5 infotainment system featuring wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is standard. Also standard is a 10.3-inch digital instrument cluster that is configurable and can display a multitude of different configurations – including the vehicle’s night vision system.

2019 Hyundai Kona 1.6T Ultimate – Road Test

At last year’s Canadian International AutoShow in Toronto, my wife and I were excited at the launch of the entirely new Hyundai Kona. When we heard it was going to be available as an EV we were even more interested, and it went to the top of our next future car list. We loved the colour of the launch vehicle – Acid Yellow (Lime Twist in the U.S.), we always want something out of the ordinary – something better than the typically boring silver/black/charcoal/white options that permeate society – so this was right up our alley! You may recall we’ve covered this vehicle in a very brief 15-minute test drive last year, from a local dealer. This time we got it for a week – one of the coldest and snowiest weeks of the winter. As a bonus we even got the Acid Yellow one!!!

Winter Tires Vs. All-seasons Tires, Iain Shankland, Road-Test.org

Road Test Special: Have You Switched Over To Your Winter Tires Yet?

With temperatures already dipping to the freezing point and some areas of the country already experiencing snow – have you switched over to your winter tires yet? Remember – there’s no such thing as a good “all-season” tire – just a no-season tire. All seasons tires become suspect when temperatures dip below 7°C – that’s the point where winter tires start to come good.

2011 Kia Sorento LX V-6 – Road Test

If you’ve been reading any of my reviews over the past few months, you might remember that my wife and I are in the middle of a large conundrum: we need a new car to replace her Mazda5, but we have no idea what we want to get. Not only is the type of vehicle the problem (car, coupe, CUV/SUV), but so is our budget! We have no idea what we want or how much we want to spend! In the recent past we’ve gone through the Ford Fusion, Genesis Coupe, Ford Flex and Edge, Honda Crosstour, Ford F-150, Toyota Venza, Prius and RAV4. The Kia Soul is very high on my wife’s list (we had it last year, but another one coming up next week), just to mention a few.
