This is a special road test for me. I’ve been desperate to get behind the wheel of the All-New 2019 Ranger since it was announced back in 2017/18. Although it’s “all-new” for North America, it isn’t actually new – it debuted in Australia back in 2012 and hasn’t been upgraded since, so it’s certainly not “all new” and not even close to being “new,” unless 7 years is considered new. Oddly enough, there is an all-new version arriving in 2020 for Australia, Asia and Europe – but not for North America. But all this doesn’t really matter because the 2019 Ranger is All-New for us and that’s all that matters at this point. Two questions come up right away: 1) has it been worth the wait for its return? and 2) is it better than the previous Ranger? Short answers are YES and YES
Ford released some details of the new 2019 Ford Ranger Raptor at the reveal in Bangkok on Wednesday (Feb. 7, 2018). No word on a North American version at this time, with Ford Thailand just saying that “the Ranger Raptor is set to turn heads throughout Asia Pacific and around the world.” However, the All-New 2019 Ranger for North America will be at the Canadian International AutoShow next week, so possibly we’ll get more information then.
The world’s fastest production car, the Koenigsegg Agera RS supercar, is headlining more than three dozen new cars and trucks that will be making their first appearance in Canada at this year’s Canadian International AutoShow. The sleek Agera RS will be seen for the first time in Canada, with the majority of new premieres unveiled over 20 presentations being made during Media Preview Day (February 15th) at the downtown Metro Toronto Convention Centre, site of the AutoShow. The show opens to the public at noon on Friday, February 16th and runs daily until Sunday, Feb. 25. Here are the vehicles being launched (photo under each reveal):
