2020 Ford Escape Makes Its Debut With A Complete Redesign, a 3-cylinder Engine, a Hybrid AND a PHEV

Today, Ford Took The Wraps Off Its (Finally) Re-Designed Compact Crossover You can’t get a Focus anymore in North America, but the All-New Escape looks like a better replacement vehicle for those not wanting or needing a large vehicle. Riding on the company’s new global platform that debuted on the redesigned European 2019 Ford Focus, this will be the first vehicle sold in North America using this platform.

Media Day At The 2019 Canadian International AutoShow #CIAS2019

The great thing about attending the AutoShow during the Press/Media Day is the lack of people, and the ability to get some good shots of vehicles without a million people getting into the shot and ruining it. The show runs from Feb. 15-24, 2019 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, North and South Buildings. You can purchase tickets online at www.autoshow.ca/tickets  Note: Tuesday, Feb. 19th is Super Tuesday and tickets are only $14 Here’s a collection of my pictures from the show…

Ford Reveals The New 2019 Ranger Raptor

Ford released some details of the new 2019 Ford Ranger Raptor at the reveal in Bangkok on Wednesday (Feb. 7, 2018). No word on a North American version at this time, with Ford Thailand just saying that “the Ranger Raptor is set to turn heads throughout Asia Pacific and around the world.” However, the All-New 2019 Ranger for North America will be at the Canadian International AutoShow next week, so possibly we’ll get more information then.

2017 Ford Fusion Energi SE – Road Test

I’ve loved the look of the present generation Fusion sever since I laid eyes on it – when it’s approaching from the opposite direction it looks a lot like an Aston Martin from the front. However, for 2017 Ford has seen fit to re-style the Fusion to make it look more like a Ford. In addition to the new grill and front fascia it also gets LED headlights, tail lights and fog lights, along a new rear fascia and spiffy redesigned 17-inch wheels. Inside, there is now a rotary-style gear selector – very Jaguaresque, a longer armrest and improved access to the open storage area in the lower dashboard.

Welcome to the Full-Monty, Nitty-Gritty Detailed Version (good choice)… Comprehensive Day-To-Day Life With An EV This is NOT a road test of each vehicle, it’s just an overview of how-they-work in relation to each other – on a day-to-day basis. Each vehicle will have its own road test in a separate article.

Electric Vehicles – The Answer To Every Urban Commuter’s Prayers…Or Are They?

At this year’s Canadian International Auto Show (CIAS) the stand-out theme would have to be Electric Vehicles (EVs) – at least that’s where most of the manufacturers seem to be spending their time, energy and design money. And hey, there’s nothing wrong with electric vehicles – don’t get me wrong – but the fact that they’re being touted as an urban commuter – I’m not so sure about that.
