Last time out we drove the 370Z Roadster. This week I’ve got the Coupe – the 40th Anniversary Edition no less! So is it much different? To be honest – it’s the same but different. The Honda S2000 has been around for several years now, but I was surprised by how many people asked me what it was. When I told them it was a Honda S2000 they’d gasp and say: “A HONDA?!! I didn’t know Honda made a sports car!!” I was as shocked at them for not knowing that, as they were at the fact it was a Honda. Even Honda owners were surprised that Honda makes a sports car! Where have these people been living for the past 3 years? After they found out it was a Honda, next came the “ooh’s” and “aah’s,” followed by, “It’s Gorgeous!” Only 2 people asked me how much it cost.
I looked for it, but I couldn’t find it, Surely there has to be one! No Warning from the Surgeon General ??!! OK. I’ll do it – WARNING – If you suffer from high blood pressure stay away from this car!! If you’re susceptible to heart palpitations – stay away! If you are pregnant and don’t want you’re child to grow up to be a race car driver – stay away!! If you have a history of high cholesterol – don’t even think about asking for a test drive! Now that we’ve got that out of the way.. How does it drive? It’s all right. Nothin’ special … if you drive fighter jets or racecars for a living! For the rest of us it’s the closest we’ll ever get to driving a race car on the street!
