The great thing about attending the AutoShow during the Press/Media Day is the lack of people, and the ability to get some good shots of vehicles without a million people getting into the shot and ruining it. In Part 1: Horsepower & Speed we highlighted the powerful new vehicles at the show, be it supercars or pickup trucks. This time we’re focusing on the future of the automobile and transportation as we’ll come to know it. Like it or not – EV’s are going to dominate all modes of transport in our future and that’s for the better. Already China has cities that have ditched the diesel and run exclusively on electric buses… bye bye diesel fumes. In the U.K. they are pressing forward with electric commuter trains and the infamous black cabs (taxis) are being muscled aside with the new EV variant. Time to check out this years’ EV future and present vehicles.

This gallery-inspired display features some of the most iconic automotive brands from motoring’s most glorious eras presented in conjunction with Cobble Beach Concours D’Elegance. Among the timeless classics are: Thomas Flyer, Packard, Bentley Winged-B, 1953 Jaguar Growler, 1938 Alfa Romeo, 1939 Delahaye, 1956 Cadillac, 1965 Shelby Cobra and the 1971 Ferrari 365. Yesterday Mazda Canada introduced the new 2017 Mazda CX-5 crossover to the Canadian market during a press conference at the Canadian International Auto Show. This second-generation compact crossover features Mazda’s SKYACTIV Technology, an evolutionary KODO – Soul of Motion design theme, and will launch Mazda’s first passenger vehicle with a diesel engine in Canada in the fourth quarter of 2017.
