2010 Nissan 370Z Roadster – Road Test

It been a while coming, but I finally managed to get behind the wheel of Nissan’s iconic Z sports car. The last time I was in one – as a passenger – was about 25 years ago! This week not only do I get to drive it, but I get to drive the all-new version – the 2010 370Z Roadster (next week I’m driving the 40th Anniversary 370Z Coupe, so come back to find out about that!). Has the Z really been around that long? 1970 – that was the first model year – way back when Nissan were called Datsun. The mid-sized sedan segment of the automotive landscape is the toughest area to do battle, so a car has to not only look good, but it has to excel in order to get noticed. I was really looking forward to driving the Mazda6 GT, but perhaps because it was in non-descript Silver, I never really felt myself looking forward to driving it or excited about having it sitting in the driveway.

2011 Dodge Challenger R/T Classic – Road Test

“Oooh – That is beau-ti-ful…Has that got a HEMI?” “Yep” “Is it YOURS?!” “Unfortunately…. no it isn’t” …And so began my first encounter with people just 10 minutes after picking up the Dodge Challenger R/T from Chrysler. I’m surprised I didn’t cause accidents as people stared, open-mouthed and gob-smacked where ever I went. One older gentleman behind the wheel of a big SUV dropped his jaw, took off his sunglasses and just stared at the car as his grey-haired wife smiled one of those lusting smiles at me – or was it the car?
